When is an event booked?
An event is booked when (1) the menu selections (2) approximate guest count and (3) a 50%
deposit of the estimated invoice have been received. Inquiries for service do not constitute a booking. Service dates cannot be reserved without (1) menu selections, (2) approximate guest count (3) payment of the deposit.

Is the deposit refundable?
Deposit Refund Schedule:
180-61 Business Days Deposit is returned less $100.00 Save the Date Fee.
60-31 Business Days Deposit is returned less $250.00 for incurred cost and fees
30-11 Business Days Deposit is refunded less $750.00 for incurred cost and fees
No refunds are permitted within 10 Business Days of the event.
Refunds due to extenuating circumstances will be considered on a case by case basis.

How soon in advance should we book our catering services?
It is very important to book your catering services as soon as you identify your date and venue. Typically, services are booked 6 to 3 months in advance.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

When is the final payment due?
The final payment must be received 10 days prior to the event.

Do you offer discounts?
Yes, Crittenden’s offers a 10% Business 2 Business Discount* and a 10% Military Discount*
*Only one discount may be applied per event. $500.00 minimum purchase required. Discounts may not be combined with promotional offers and only apply to the purchase of food and beverages. Staff Fees and service ware are excluded.

What is the difference between “Corporate Catering” and “Special Event Catering”?
Corporate catering refers to smaller parties (of 4-40 guests) or food deliveries that do not require service staff. Special Event Catering refers to larger parties (40+ guests) and events that require service staff, service ware, display ware and consultation services

Do you accommodate Short Notice Service?
Yes.  Depending on the venue, the number of guests and the menu items requested we can
accommodate Corporate and Special Events with as little as 72-48 hours’ notice.  A Short Notice Service must be paid in full at the time of booking for Special Events.

Is there a Surcharge for Short Notice Service?
Yes, a Short Notice surcharge of 30% would apply to Special Events booked within 10 business days of the service; to cover expedited freight charges, non-standard food and beverage procurement fees and additional staffing costs.

Does Crittenden’s offer complimentary tastings?
Yes, we believe a tasting is crucial in selecting a caterer. Tastings are complimentary for booked events of $500.00 or more. Tastings Fees are $25.00 per person for un-booked events or events with Food and Beverage purchases of less than $500.00. Fees collected will be credited to the customer when the event is booked or if Food and Beverage
purchases exceed $500.00.

How many People can you serve?
Crittenden’s can properly serve a plated meal for 650 guests or provide buffet service for 1,000 guests.

How many servers will be at my event?
We provide a minimum of 1 server per 25 guests. A plated banquet of 150 guests would have 6 servers, 2 expediters and 2 chefs.

Do I need the Service Staff or can I just get the food delivered?
Yes, you can request drop off service for Crittenden’s Meal Express and  Lunch Box menu items. Professional staff is required for Appetizer, Banquet and Celebration Station Menu Items.
